Privacy
The short version: we store your email address if you choose to sign in, and an anonymous marker that lets us count whether people come back. We don’t sell anything to anybody, and you can delete your account and your email address yourself at any time.
Who we are
FreeFromly is run by JKS Ecommerce FZCO, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. If you want anything at all — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion — email hello@freefromly.com and a person will answer.
You can use FreeFromly without telling us anything
Searching restaurants, reading menus and filtering by allergen need no account and no sign-in. Nothing on this site is behind a login.
What we store, and why
If you sign in: your email address
Plus the date you signed up and the date you last signed in. That is genuinely the lot — no name unless you sign in with Google and it gives us one, no address, no payment details, no browsing history tied to you. We use it to know it’s you when you come back, and to send you sign-in links. We will not send you anything else unless you ask us to.
However you got here: an anonymous visit marker
A small anonymous marker in your browser, so we can tell a first visit from a returning one and see which parts of the site get used. It doesn’t identify you, it is never used for advertising, and it is never sold or shared. There is a one-click way to switch it off at the foot of every page.
If you tell us something is wrong: whatever you send us
The “report an issue” box asks for a name and email only if you want a reply. Leave them blank and we still get the report.
Who else sees it
Nobody buys anything from us, and we run no advertising on this site. We do use a small number of companies to actually run it, and they only ever handle what their job needs:
- Supabase — the database, and the sign-in system that holds your email address. Hosted in Ireland.
- Resend — sends the sign-in emails.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- PostHog — counts visits, using the anonymous marker above. Hosted in the EU.
- Sentry — tells us when something on the site breaks, so we can fix it.
- Google — measures our adverts, and handles the sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”. If you do, Google tells us your email address and name and nothing else; we never see your Google password, and we ask for no access to your mail, files, contacts or calendar.
Getting rid of it
Sign in and use Delete my account on your account page. It removes your account and your email address straight away, and it can’t be undone. You can carry on using FreeFromly afterwards — you just won’t be signed in. If you’d rather we did it for you, email hello@freefromly.com.
We keep your email address for as long as you have an account, and no longer.
The restaurant information
None of that is about you. It comes from restaurants’ own published menus and from Google’s business listings. FreeFromly is a discovery tool, not a safety guarantee — always confirm directly with the restaurant, especially for allergies that can be life-threatening.
